The Drop Offs

/ by Charlotte Williamson / Leave a Comment

Now it’s Month 2:

Recital Week is here.

How do we make this special?

With super secret drop offs!

In 1 week, I delivered recital t-shirts to the doorsteps of our students.  I visited over 150 houses.  I felt a little like Santa Claus!   I loved seeing the homes of all of our students & especially loved it when the students happened to be outside when I arrived.

I got waves & jumps, smiles & air hugs, & even some very confused faces.  Because clearly Ms. Charlotte only belongs in the dance studio 🙂

It was so fun when the students would log into their Zoom Class with their brand new shirt on, smiling & proud.

My favorite drop memory was for a very special 5 year old student.  She was just getting out of her car when I pulled up. She said, “Ms Charlotte, You’re Here?!  I can’t believe you're here.  You came here just for me!”  I smiled and said, “I Sure Did.”

Later that day, at the end of her class with Ms. Megan, she very abruptly asked Ms. Megan to wait to end the class.  She said, “I don’t want dance to end.  I love you.”

Ms. Megan said, “I love you too Abby.  I’ll see you next week,”  Abby never missed a class after that.

PS  Here’s my screenshot of my google map 🙂
