Atlanta Dance Central is seeking a passionate dance educator for our school in Roswell, Georgia. This individual would start substitute teaching immediately while training to join our team in a more official capacity beginning September 2022.
We are looking for a faculty member with an effective communication style to fit our collaborative work environment. Empathy and adaptability are also essential to this position. We love what we do, and we’re looking for someone who shares our dedication to dance, education, and inclusivity.
ADC faculty see our students as humans first, dancers second. Our classrooms are body-positive, affirming spaces where teachers empower students to fall in love with movement. Everyone is a dancer, and our new faculty member must be comfortable working with students of various backgrounds, ages, and abilities. This individual should be confident in multiple dance styles and open to shadowing senior faculty to learn our curriculum. After hiring, we would determine the best class fit for fall (style/level/age group).
We require a bachelor’s degree for full-time teaching positions at ADC, but current college students working toward that degree are welcome to apply. Pay is flexible based on certifications and teaching experience. Benefits include upward mobility, twice-yearly paid staff retreats, and annual raises.
We will begin training this summer. The position will be 10-15 hours per week, divided between administrative tasks and teaching. We are open to offering more hours in the future. Our location is 920 Woodstock Rd. Suite 200 Roswell, GA 30075
