Welcome, Ms. Michelle!

img_2690This season a new staff member is joining the Atlanta Dance Central faculty, and we are excited to welcome Ms. Michelle into our family!  We met Ms. Michelle this summer when she guest taught some of our kinder and youth students.  With a great attitude and an obvious passion for dance, we knew she would fit in well.  A team lunch together solidified all of those warm fuzzy feelings and we can't wait for all of our students and parents to get to know her.  Here's a head start:

Ms. Michelle is originally from Birmingham, AL but has lived in Boston, New York, San Diego, and Los Angeles.  Growing up in dance she won several awards on the competition circuit.  Around ten years old she knew she wanted to study ballet seriously, and trained with notable companies such as American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Alabama Ballet, Columbia City Ballet, and Paul Taylor.  As you can tell, her resume is amazing, but it gets even better!

Impressively, Michelle graduated high school at the age of 15 and left home to attend the Boston Conservatory.  At the time that most students go to college, she had graduated at the age of 19 with a degree in ballet and modern!  She has danced with Arova Contemporary Ballet, Alabama Ballet, American Contemporary Ballet, Hosanna Sacred Arts, Boston Dance Theatre and Stiletto Entertainment.

Michelle is settling in the Atlanta area with her husband, Jesse, and her ADORABLE 9 month old son, Nolan.  Her love for cooking and eating has been passed down to her as her family has had a farm for seven generations!  They love collecting food from the garden and cooking together.  She also wanted everyone to know that she is an Alabama fan, and also cheers on the Braves and the Red Sox.

You'll see Ms. Michelle at the front desk on Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, as well as teaching in our Kinder and Youth programs.  Please feel free to introduce yourselves and help us in giving her a warm welcome to the ADC family.  We are so happy to have found you!
