This week we would like to recognize Monica Zurinaga. Monica dances in our youth program and is always very respectful of her fellow students and her teachers. She is eager to learn and works hard to apply corrections and execute techniques properly. Congratulations Monica!

When did you start dancing?
When I was in 7th grade I took jazz.
What is your favorite style of dance?
Ballet, because it is precise but it feels really good when you get it right.
What do you do outside of dance?
I am interested in sports medicine.
Why do you love dance?
Dance is a place where you can’t be judged and it allows me to move freely.
