September Student of the Month: Laila Azimzadeh

/ by admin / Leave a Comment

fullsizerender-21It's the first month of Atlanta Dance Central's 8th season, and our theme is “Discover Your Joy!”  We are excited to announce that Laila Azimzadeh, a student who brings a great amount of joy to our studio, is the September Student of the Month!

Having joined the ADC family back in 2011, we've had the pleasure of watching Laila grow into the beautiful person she is today.  Last season we watched Laila fall in love with dance with a new passion.  She started coming to class with more energy and enthusiasm than we had ever seen before.  She was tackling new challenges, eager to apply constructive criticism, and always approaching class with a positive energy.

Laila is an important part of the ADC family and environment because she is welcoming to everyone who steps foot in the studio.  She cares about and respects her fellow classmates and her teachers.  By welcoming new friends into the classroom she helps create the caring and joyful environment we hope everyone at our studio experiences.  Laila's positive attitude and energy are both contagious and magnetic.

Congratulations Laila!  We are extremely proud of you and look forward to many more seasons of helping you accomplish your goals.

Laila's Interview:

ADC: What is your favorite style of dance, and why?
LA: I like contemporary because it isn't as formal as ballet.  You have more freedom in movement.

ADC: Why do you love dancing?
LA: Dancing allows me to express who I am, and I enjoy dancing with my friends.

ADC: What is your favorite band? (We already knew the answer, of course!)
LA: One Direction!

ADC: What is your favorite food?
LA: I really like BBQ.
ADC: From where?
LA: Swallow at the Hollow!  They have really good Mac & Cheese, too.

ADC: When you aren't at school or dancing, what do you like to do for fun?
LA: I like cooking and watching TV.
ADC: What do you cook, and what do you watch?
LA: I love baking cupcakes.  My favorite show is Grey's Anatomy.
