Maddie & Haley performing at Downtown Disney in 2012!

It may be summer break but we are busy here at Atlanta Dance Central!  The Atlanta Rising Talent Company and the Foster-Schmidt Dance Company have each been accepted to perform at Downtown Disney at the end of June.  Both companies are looking forward to the trip, which will include a workshop with Disney professionals as well as a performance.

Atlanta Rising Talent last performed at Downtown Disney in 2012, and twelve of our dancers this year are looking forward to the trip this June!  ART Company dancers will perform in a “Broadway Magic” workshop that includes singing, dancing, and acting.  They have already started rehearsing ahead of time not only for the performance, but for the workshop as well!  The performance at Downtown Disney will include tap, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop.

The Foster-Schmidt Dance Company is partnering with SIDEWAYS Contemporary Dance Company during their trip.  Dancers will participate in the Disney Dancin' Young Performers workshop.  The FSDC and SIDEWAYS will kick off their performance with a contemporary dance, “Hero,” which you may have seen on the stage at the Atlanta Dance Central recital.  FSDC members will also perform jazz dance numbers “Bop to the Top,” as well as “Shake It Off.”

All of our dancers have spent hours rehearsing in the studio and are getting more and more excited as the trip gets closer.  We are looking forward to this wonderful learning and performance opportunity, and looking forward to making ADC memories.  If you want to follow us during the trip, you can follow us on instagram (@atlantadancecentral & @sidewaysdance)!
