Aladdin Musical Theater Performance Success!

/ by admin / Leave a Comment

December has been full of performances for students of Atlanta Dance Central!  The ART company performed at Mountain Park Elementary's Holiday Extravaganza at the beginning of the month, and performed at retirement homes around the community last week.  Last night, ADC's Musical Theater class performed the musical “Aladdin” for a studio filled with families, friends, and fellow dancers.

Our musical theater class has been preparing for the performance since September!  The class had to audition for which roles they would be cast in, and since then they have been busy learning choreography and rehearsing their lines.  Anticipation and excitement surrounded the performance and we couldn't wait to see all of the hard work these students had put in this semester.

Audience members couldn't help but quietly sing along with hits like “Friend Like Me” and “A Whole New World.”

Talent and passion filled the room, and the student did and excellent job portraying their characters.  There were especially strong performances from Jafar and the Genie!

We are proud of all of the students who participated in the production of Aladdin!  The musical theater class will be continuing to rehearse the Broadway version of “Friend Like Me” for Atlanta Dance Central's recital performance in May, and we can't wait to see them perform again!  Great job everyone!
