ADC Faculty Performing in POP! this Weekend!

/ by admin / Leave a Comment

POP! PostcardSeveral of our ADC faculty members will be performing at 7 stages this weekend in SIDEWAYS Contemporary Dance Company’s POP! Ms. Andrea, Ms. Mary Ann, Ms. Caroline, and Mr. Jeremy will all be in the show, along with company apprentices Haley and Claire who are currently members of Atlanta Rising Talent.   The Foster-Schmidt Dance Company will open the show on Saturday evening. The FSDC will be performing alongside SIDEWAYS dancers in a piece that will also be performed in Disney World next week.  On Sunday Jenna Quigley, an upcoming member of the Foster-Schmidt Dance Company, will be open the show with a solo she and Ms. Charlotte have been working on.

The FSDC and SIDEWAYS have been working together this year to develop a strong and close partnership. With performances together in Frankenstein’s Frolic, the ADC recital and a performance on Canton Street during Alive After 5, we have developed meaningful friendships and we can’t wait perform together this weekend and at Disney!

POP! will feature choreography by Ms. Charlotte and Ms. Andrea, as well as choreography by Trey Mitchell, who has taught classes at our ARTistry Convention and at our Summer Intensive! Each choreographer used their own personal style of movement and choreography to create interpretations of how people as individuals and society are impacted by technology, media, and pop culture. This show has been a collaboration of so many people and groups and we are excited to see it all come together. We hope you can be there to share in the experience and support your ADC family!

Tickets to the show can be purchased here!
