We all want to be inspired. It's a wonderful thing to wake up feeling alive, ready to conquer the day, and to truly love what we are doing. For the most part, that's how my life goes and I am so thankful that I followed the path to owning a dance studio.
I am inspired in many ways by the families at ADC. It's motivating to see an alumni offered a great job opportunity from another ADC alum or when the three-year old tells me that she wants to be a dance teacher when she grows up. It's heartening when a teenager starts taking dance for the first time and is out-of-her-mind excited or when my student teachers can't sleep the night before recital because they are so excited to watch their students onstage.
I also find inspiration from the parents of our students. The way each family commits to all the shuttling, quick meal times, and creative budgeting to give their child the opportunity to discover their passion. Families take care of other families when it's needed and I've watched friendships grow within the walls of the studio.
We certainly are an inspiring bunch!
The way I see it anyone at any age can be inspiring and why not aim to be? What a better world we would have if that was everyone's daily goal: just to inspire others to grow and thrive.
“To be inspired is great, to inspire is incredible.”
For the ninth season of ADC, the faculty and I can't wait to see what happens when our ADC families and students commit to this challenge: Aspire to Inspire. I know it will be truly incredible!
