About Me
Hi! I’m Charlotte Williamson, and I’ve spent the last 20 years doing what I love most—teaching dance and connecting with families. As the founder of Atlanta Dance Central, I’ve had the joy of working with over 3,000 students, witnessing firsthand the incredible (and often unpredictable) journey of childhood development.
I may not hold a degree in child development or psychology, but my classroom has been my laboratory. From toddlers taking their first dance steps to teenagers finding their confidence on stage, I’ve learned more from my students than any textbook could teach. And I believe these real-world observations are worth sharing.
Why I Started This Blog:
“The Wild Journey of Raising Humans” was born from my passion for helping parents navigate the ups and downs of raising kids. I know that parenting can sometimes feel isolating, especially when you’re not sure if what you’re experiencing is “normal.” My goal is to offer a little laughter, a lot of honesty, and practical insights drawn from two decades of working closely with children and their families.
What You Can Expect:
Here, you’ll find stories, advice, and maybe even a few “aha!” moments. Whether I’m writing about why six-year-olds sometimes lose their minds (I promise it’s just a phase!) or sharing how unstructured play can spark creativity, my intention is always to provide a fresh perspective and a reminder that you’re not alone in this wild ride of parenting.
When I’m not teaching or writing, you can find me reading and snuggling with my dogs. I can’t wait to share this journey with you—one story, one insight, and one dance step at a time.
